Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of two years of relevant school nutrition program experience as per USDA standards; knowledge and experience with government food programs and regulations including the National School Lunch program and K-12 nutrition and wellness standards. Up to date with all USDA training required to assume position at time of hire. Valid Pennsylvania drivers license required.
Additional Information: Manheim Township School District is seeking applicants for the position of Director of Food Services. This position provides each school with food of high nutritious quality in an atmosphere of cleanliness, cheerfulness, and personal caring. This individual demonstrates understanding of, abides by, monitors and enforces staff compliance with federal, state and local school laws and regulations, mandated programs, district policies and administrative regulations and applicable collective bargaining agreements. Monitors policies and administrative procedures related to cafeteria operations and recommends revisions. Establishes and revises, as necessary, practices and guidelines for daily operation of the cafeteria consistent legal and district requirements. Keeps the public informed of the menus and services offered by the school cafeterias and of the health and educational benefits gained by children through participation in the school food service program.
