    The Neshaminy School District, located in Lower Bucks County, is accepting applications from candidates interesting in joining our District as the School Business Administrator.   The Neshaminy School District operates with an approximate $200M budget, serving approximately 9,800 students with 6 Elementary Schools, 3 Middle Schools and a Senior High School.

     

    The School Business Administrator is responsible for administering all aspects of the school district's fiscal activities and the overall functioning of non-educational operations. Candidates must be knowledgeable in budgeting; budget forecasting; auditing; tax billing/collections; financial planning; and federal and state legislation/regulation related to school funding, accounting, and reporting. 

     

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:  budgeting, payroll, purchasing, insurance, investments, debt service, accounting, as well as oversight of transportation, food services, technology services, and facilities.

     

    The successful candidate will possess the ability to multitask, problem solve, innovate and make independent judgements. In addition, the candidate is required to have strong analytical skills, be able to work in a team environment, employ excellent organization skill, and effectively supervise. This position is responsible for ensuring that the District maintains efficient and effective financial and operating systems and processes, high service levels, and accountability across its core business and operations functions, while continually seeking to improve resource utilization.

     

    A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, education or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience is required. An MBA and/or CPA preferred.  In addition, a minimum of five (5) years' experience as a business administrator/assistant business administrator and/or equivalent experience with business and administrative functions is required, including at least three years' experience in a supervisory/leadership capacity.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are critical to effective performance in this position.
