    Position Summary


    The Human Resources Generalist coordinates and implements the day-to-day processes, procedures, and operations of the Human Resource department. The position requires the ability to successfully multi-task and demands a high level of discretion and independent judgment. Generalists carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas, but not limited to recruitment, staffing, employment processing, payroll, wellness and health benefits, benefits coordination, leave coordination; training and development, employee orientation, staff onboarding, records management, workers compensation, and AA/EEO compliance. Reports to the Director of Human Resources.

    Supervisory Relationships:  Works independently with minimum supervision with direction from the Director of Human Resources.

    Minimum Qualifications

    1.     An earned bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in human resource management, or a related field, or such alternative workplace experience as deemed appropriate.

    2.     A minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in a computerized payroll environment, preferably in a public school system.

    3.     A minimum of three (3) years' experience in leave administration, specifically, FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, COBRA, etc.

    4.     A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in the management of an employee benefits program, preferably in a public school system. Experience with developing and implementing employee benefit programs and human resources information systems (HRIS).

    5.     Demonstrated ability to be highly organized with great attention to detail.

    6.     Must possess self-management skills (communication, collaboration, problem solving, divergent thinking, initiative).

    7.     Proficient in navigating software programs.

    Preferred Qualifications

    1.     Prior experience in one or more of the following areas: recruitment, Human Resource Information System (HRIS), data entry and analysis.

    This is a Confidential Support position earning between $45,000 & $55,000 annually. We are looking to have someone onboard by February 1st.
