Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Assistant to the Superintendent, serve as the coordinator of district academic programs. Promote the success of all students through: the implementation and support of district curriculum and course offerings. Provide oversight of the entire curriculum process, including the written, taught, and assessed content. This is a 251 days/year, 8 hours/day position.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Masters Degree
- Five (5) years teaching experience in public education necessary
- Proper Pennsylvania Administrative Certification necessary
- Display excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google, or related software
- Must be able to communicate effectively with all parties daily
- Ability to work independently.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
Primary Duties:
- Lead, implement and support district goals, initiatives and committees.
- Oversee and evaluate the school district academic program and make recommendations for its continuous improvement.
- Assess and analyze emerging trends and research in order to adapt leadership strategies and action plans as well as keep informed of current educational trends.
- Advocate, nurture, and sustain a district culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth.
- Direct the development, implementation, and review of all district curricula
- Serves as the district assessment coordinator/liaison to PA Department of Education.
- Oversee the management and evaluation of curriculum-based assessments, district-wide screeners, and progress monitoring tools.
- Assist principals to evaluate the quality of teaching and learning across all district academic programs
- Analyze data to identify goals, assess organizational effectiveness and promote student learning.
- Analyze and review assessment data with administration and teacher leaders to support the development and implementation of action plans and curricular revisions.
- Oversee the planning, organization, and development of districtwide systems of support in the regular education program through a research-based tiered intervention model.
- Support buildings in the design and implementation of systems of support directly related to meeting student needs within the regular education environment.
- Coordinate the implementation of effective data management systems to align with systems of support in practice.
- Coordinate the identification and implementation of research-based academic and social emotional interventions to meet student needs.
- Collaborate with building teams to find effective solutions to learning and behavior needs that mitigate disproportionality and special education overidentification.
- Engage with Student Services staff to connect regular education systems of support with Special Education, Section 504, and Gifted services where appropriate.
- Lead and support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of professional development programs for professional staff and support staff.
- Provide evaluative oversight to the induction program for professional staff.
- Support federal programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Assistant to the Superintendent.
