Employment Terms:
- This is a contract position starting with the 2024-2025 academic year
- The salary range is between $50,483 (step 1) and $97,977 (top level)

Position Summary
Implements the District's comprehensive counseling program in alignment with the national standards set forth by the American School Counselors Association (ASCA). The employee, utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, will participate in a school counseling program that promotes and enhances academic achievement, personal/social growth, and career development for all secondary students. Adheres to HASD Professional requirements and state standards for Licensed Employees. Reports to the building administrator(s).
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, and
- Hold a professional certification at the appropriate level (elementary, middle, or high school) with an endorsement in school counseling.
Experience
- Demonstrate sensitivity/understanding of interpersonal relations with students and persons of diverse cultures and backgrounds required.
- Demonstrate professional and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, parents, school personnel, and members of the community.
- Possesses high moral standards and integrity.
- Leadership and management skills highly desirable.
